Despite the gloomiest of predictions, the weather for the Autumn Road Route was anything but, with the day starting warm and sunny with no rain until the evening. It was great to see so many of you turning out for our second road event of the year, from seasoned Sportive riders tackling the hills of the Downs to family groups, many of which tried out the 50km route for the first time. Changing the route direction from last year, we hope you enjoyed the easier start along the Test valley, before tackling the hills of north Hampshire and that the routes gave an appropriate challenge for your level of riding. We are already planning a full calendar of next years events, including the 2008 Hot Challenge offroad event starting at Vernham Dean on Sunday 6 July 2008, so check the website for full details as they become available. In the meantime we have our Cool Challenge offroad event to look forward to on Sunday 18 November 2007 starting from the Depot at Charlton. This is fast becoming one of our most popular tour events, which again this year will feature your favourite 'Woods' sections. We will be drawing the prize winner at this event, from all the entries received for this year's Tour events, and they will receive a Giant bike worth £500 from our event sponsors PEDAL ON.
