Autumn is now with us as we turn our attention to the Road with our next event being the Road Route on Sunday 23 September 2007. This year we are including a 150km Sportive route for the first time as well as the usual 100km Challenge, 50km route and 20km family friendly route.
All routes will be clearly signposted and each entrant will receive a full colour map extract showing all routes and facilities. The Sportive and Challenge routes will include some classic climbs including Inkpen and Woodhay, the Sportive route will also take in Watership Down. Quiet country lanes will be the main feature of this event with plenty of stunning countryside on view and sunshine all day forecast.
The event will be fully supported with marshals, feed and water stops with FREE Torq energy drink, mobile cycle mechanic and rescue vehicles. The start and finish is at Wyke Down, Picket Piece on the outskirts of Andover in Hampshire. Sportive entrants will receive a completion medal whilst all entrants will receive a FREE Torq energy bar, a meal voucher with their entry and a chance to win a GIANT road bike in the free to enter riders prize draw courtesy of the event sponsors Pedal On. There is plenty of parking at the venue and refreshments will be available at the finish until 3.00pm. Pre-entries have now closed but as always ENTRY ON THE DAY WILL BE AVAILABLE.
